YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a candidate to join the Client Portfolio Management (CPM) team with QIS. This team operates within the growing intersection between technology and investment management and serves as the public face of the QIS business. To give you an idea of our work, we have a dynamic role where we split our time between two main areas: client-facing work (which includes pitching strategies to clients, client reporting, and producing client-specific analysis) and product strategy (which includes programming to conduct research for new quantitative strategies and for data analytics / visualization). However, our team has many diverse skillsets, and many members will specialize on different aspects of the role depending on their unique strengths. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving quantitative, analytical, and programming challenges, and also passionate about communicating with and working alongside clients (both prospective and existing) to produce solutions to these challenges.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Principal Responsibilities:

• Serve as a product expert on QIS investment products to both internal and external clients of the division and firm
• Identify client solutions / products to market
• Write code to solve analytical problems and produce analysis on markets and investment strategies
• Work with team members to conduct research and develop investment products
• Work closely with sales force and prepare relevant marketing materials (Powerpoint / Excel)
• Conduct competitive analyses, peer group analyses, and overall market research

Traits of candidates who excel in this role:

• Quantitative orientation with a background in a STEM field (including engineering, mathematics, computer science, mathematical economics, etc)
• Computer programming background (familiarity with a programming language such as Python, Matlab, Java, C / C++)
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
• Thrives in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense / commercial instinct
• Flexibility and confidence to take on many different types of problems and tasks
• Outstanding attention to detail, both quantitatively and aesthetically
• Experience and background with quantitative techniques and investment strategies would be a plus
• Organized and deadline driven
• Ability to guide new ideas from a concept to finish
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills
