Job title: Analyst - Filer & Print Services
About the Role
At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. In Bangalore, you will apply your technical expertise in file and print services to support and maintain Alstom’s global environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage access to filers and external data storage, and oversee data movement to modern technologies like SharePoint and OneDrive, while also supporting print services with enterprise architects and vendors.
What You'll Do
- Provide support for Windows servers, filer, and print services, including tools like Printer Installer and Equitrac.
- Manage file access and data management tools, focusing on compliance and audit-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to OS, network connectivity, GPO, and application provisioning.
- Drive process improvements and optimization in file and print services.
- Work with key technology suppliers and vendors to ensure delivery against KPIs and SLAs.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to file and print servers in collaboration with local and central teams.
- Oversee data movement and consolidation to SharePoint and OneDrive.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology.
- 7-10 years of IT experience with focus on Windows servers, DC operations, LDR filers, and print services.
- Hands-on experience in file access management tools, ITSM tools like SNOW, and compliance-related issue resolution.
- Knowledge of OS components, GPO, and application provisioning best practices.
- Experience in vendor management and collaboration with global teams.
- ITIL process and framework knowledge.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and influence cross-functional teams.
