About the Role The Dishwasher at American Girl Retail in Los Angeles supports a fast-paced in-store restaurant environment and reports to the Restaurant Manager. You will help maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards to ensure a safe, welcoming dining experience for guests.

What You'll Do

• Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans are cleaned and sanitized according to health codes.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining room area, equipment and tools, including floor sweeping, garbage removal, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Assist with side work such as stock rotation and replenishment, proper food storage and cleaning, and station set-up and take-down.
• Work collaboratively with the team to build a positive work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent; certification for an accredited or recognized culinary school, college, or comparable institution, preferred.
• Restaurant experience, especially as a dishwasher, preferred.
• Ability to perform diverse physical tasks, including constant standing and walking, heavy lifting (30-50 lbs), etc.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Nice to Have

• ServSafe certification, preferred.
• Certification for an accredited or recognized culinary school, college, or comparable institution, preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• The base hourly rate for this position is between $17.87 and $19.50. This range is indicative of projected hiring range; base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
