About the Role The American Girl NYC Personal Shopper provides a personalized shopping experience at the New York City flagship store. This 30-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible role supports customers and their families by delivering attentive service and expert product recommendations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

• Deliver premium, client-focused service by actively listening, answering questions, resolving concerns, and handling special requests.
• Schedule and assist personal shopping appointments, prepare goodie bags, hold items, and coordinate in-store events and occasions.
• Check guests in for events/parties and ensure gifts and goodie bags are ready.
• Maintain product knowledge, stay current on store promotions, and proactively suggest additional merchandise and experiences (e.g., Café, in-store events, excursions).
• Manage client communications, schedule follow-ups, and build relationships to drive repeat business.
• Use Microsoft applications for administrative tasks and maintain accurate client records in POS systems.
• Uphold the company’s Service Standards, MAGIC, and PLAY values and contribute to a positive shopping experience for the purchaser and their family.
• Keep the Personal Shopping offices, lounge, and cash wrap tidy and well-organized and support coworkers as needed.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic office tasks; familiarity with POS procedures.

Nice to Have

• Experience in personal styling, events coordination, or guest services in a store environment.
• Track record of building client relationships and contributing to sales goals.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate: $23 per hour; approximately 30 hours per week.
