About this role

Job title: Amazon Business- Amazon Operations Manager

We are a growing Amazon business offering three services on Amazon: growing existing sellers through PPC and catalogue management, building brands from scratch for clients from sourcing through to launch and ongoing management, and launching our own Amazon brands. We manage around 12 brands and need someone to keep operations moving as the business grows. You will take ownership of brand-building delivery and client communication, freeing the founders from day-to-day coordination so they can focus on the wider business.

We are looking for an Operations Manager who can own brand-building operations, keep two connected pipelines moving, and ensure clients always know what’s happening. You understand Amazon and can coordinate sourcing, supply chain, catalogue, design and PPC. You don’t need to have launched products yourself; the founders can teach the product side. The product lead provides product ideas; specialists own advertising, copy and growth strategy. You bring organisation, drive and follow-through.

In this role you will:

  • Run the new product pipeline: move ideas through sourcing and quotes, prioritise with supply chain, and ask the product lead for more ideas when needed
  • Run the client launch pipeline: coordinate each step from product selection to launch, with clear owners, deadlines and follow-ups
  • Start with a daily 30-minute pulse check: review launch blockers, outstanding quotes, enough product ideas, and client/team Slack updates
  • Work with supply chain to keep orders, stock and logistics on track, and build forecasts from real sales data as it becomes available
  • Clear blockers promptly, chase outstanding quotes, and help the team prioritise what needs to move next
  • Coordinate catalogue, design and PPC specialists so their work is ready on time and nothing gets missed
  • Own the brand-building client journey, managing expectations and following up quickly on decisions and outstanding actions
  • Spend around half your time on client communication, including clear updates at least twice a week for active sourcing-phase clients
  • Keep trackers and regular reporting current; flag refund, stock or sales issues early, with a plan to address them
  • Improve the systems you run through clearer SOPs, better ClickUp workflows, and AI or automation where it helps
  • Run the weekly ops meeting and give the founders a concise report on progress, risks and next steps
  • Grow into wider business and agency operations, with the opportunity to build a team of one or two people

This is a full-time role working within UK/Western European time zone (GMT/BST), with core overlap with the founders who are based in Lisbon. Some flexibility is expected for early-morning supplier comms with China and afternoon/evening client comms with Europe and US clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you need:

  • A mover. Hyper-organised, hyper-focused, high-energy. Your default is to check what’s happening with X and where your gaps are right now on your own rhythm
  • Client-management maturity. You’ve held clients through difficult conversations — delays, cost overruns, bad news, scope arguments. You reset expectations without becoming defensive, deliver bad news professionally, and keep clients engaged when things aren’t going their way
  • People-management reflex. You hold team members accountable without drama. You run meetings that produce decisions. You lead specialists through clear briefs and consistent follow-up
  • Strong AI fluency: you use AI tools confidently to improve workflows and work faster, while applying your own thinking and checking the output
  • 7+ years operations leadership in e-commerce, Amazon, or supply-chain-heavy business
  • An understanding of Amazon, catalogue/listing workflows and the product-to-launch process; personally launching Amazon products is not required
  • Excellent organisation and follow-through: you keep trackers current, spot gaps and make sure every action has an owner and a deadline
  • Excellent written English
  • Systems thinker: you design and implement processes with discipline and are comfortable owning ClickUp, Notion, or Airtable as a daily operating tool
  • Strong prioritisation: you can manage multiple projects, follow up promptly and keep work moving in a fast-paced business
  • Strong cross-team coordination: you hold people accountable, clarify responsibilities and work well with specialists
  • Self-directed: you diagnose problems and act without waiting to be told what to do
  • Based in or overlapping with EU time zone (Western or Eastern Europe strongly preferred, UK working hours)

Brownie points for:

  • Direct Amazon FBA private label launch experience

  • Commercial awareness: comfortable reading client contracts and revenue-share terms

  • Experience managing offshore teams

  • Experience working at a bootstrapped business or as a COO-of-one

  • Supply chain experience, including supplier negotiation, sourcing in China, freight or FBA logistics

  • Familiarity with Xero, Sellerboard, Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar Amazon-specific tooling

  • Background that includes running both client-facing and internal operations functions

  • We’re looking for someone who gets things done and follows through. You take ownership, check for gaps without being asked, write plans down and keep work moving. Speed and sound judgement matter more than perfection. You stay calm under pressure and handle launch delays or client challenges without becoming defensive or flustered. Attention to detail matters: you notice when numbers don’t add up, listings have mistakes, or processes aren’t working properly. Communication should be clear and structured - responses should be concise, complete, and always move things forward with a clear next step.

  • In your first 30 days, you will take over the workflow, keep clients updated, move products forward and flag problems with a plan. Near month end, you’ll write a one-page plan for the next four weeks. By 60 days, you’ll be improving the systems you run, whether that means tightening the pipeline, adding an SOP, improving ClickUp or introducing a useful AI tool. By 90 days, you’ll own operations and client communication across around 12 brands in our brand-building programme. You’ll raise issues early, establish regular reporting and begin forecasting from sales data, with the founders no longer needed for day-to-day coordination.

This role probably isn’t right if you:

  • Explain slowness as being “considered” or “thorough”
  • Deliver plans verbally when writing was asked for
  • Lean on AI to produce thinking you haven’t done yourself
  • Treat tracker fields and structured data as optional admin
  • Come from a large corporate ops environment where decisions moved slowly
  • Look for a role with heavy structure already in place. You’ll be building it.

Benefits

  • What’s in it for you?

  • Starting base: 4000/month, with on-track earnings of 6000+/month once performance bonuses kick in

  • Target total compensation: 7000-8000+/month within 12 months

  • Base reviewed every 6 months. Performance bonuses tied to successful Brand Builder launches and operational outcomes

  • Clear path to Operations Director within 12 months, with potential path to COO beyond that

  • Long-term upside opportunity tied to portfolio brand growth

  • Full time and fully remote

  • Unlimited paid time off, with a minimum expectation of 2-3 weeks per year

  • Long-term upside opportunity for the right candidate

  • Paid sick leave
