About the Role
Overview: The University of Rio Grande invites nominations for its Alumni Awards program to recognize outstanding alumni for service and achievement. The program features several award categories, including the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Alumni Award, Atwood Achievement Award, Faculty Citation, and Alumni Citation of Appreciation, as well as Athletic Hall of Fame and Educator Hall of Fame recognitions. Nominate a Rio alum today to honor those who have brought credit to the University and its community. What You'll Do

Submit nominations for the Alumni Awards and Hall of Fame recognitions (Athletic Hall of Fame, Educator Hall of Fame).

Identify alumni whose achievements or service align with each award’s criteria, as described by the university.

Support the recognition of exceptional alumni by sharing information that helps nominations stand out.

Encourage participation by inviting others to submit nominations and by nominating alumni for the Athletic Hall of Fame, the Educator Hall of Fame, or other awards. What We're Looking For

Nominators who can identify alumni with significant personal achievement (Distinguished Alumnus Award) or meritorious service to the University or Alumni Association (Alumni Award).

Candidates for Atwood Achievement Award (personal achievement reflecting credit upon the University) and Faculty Citation (outstanding long-time faculty/staff leadership).

Individuals or organizations eligible for Alumni Citation of Appreciation.

Open to anyone; nominations welcome from all parts of the Rio community.

Nomination for Athletic Hall of Fame and Educator Hall of Fame is also invited.
