Do you enjoy spending time with others and making someone’s day a little brighter?
As a Companion, you’ll provide meaningful one-on-one support, helping clients feel connected, engaged, and cared for.
Job Requirements
- Must be willing to work in Oneonta, NY
- Part-time availability: Weekdays, 4 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling: No set days or times required at this time (opportunity for additional hours as client needs increase)
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to clock in/out electronically
- Have compassion, reliability, trustworthiness, and honesty

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to identified members
- Active listening and conversation
- Engage members in ongoing social interaction, activities, or movement
- Games, puzzles, arts and crafts, reading aloud, watching TV/movies together
- Spend time with the member for the duration of the shift
- Alert nurses when the individual needs help or clinical intervention
- Adhere to the facility's policies and standards
