Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Full-Time Morning Shift in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: 26.50 / Hour

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, unattended property, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or other authorized personnel as appropriate.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
