About the Role Stratolaunch seeks an Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician to fabricate, install, test, and maintain carrier aircraft airframes and systems at Mojave. The role supports high-paced aerospace R&D and may participate in new projects as program needs evolve. What You'll Do
- Fabrication, installation, testing and maintenance of carrier aircraft systems and components including: Fuel, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, Engine, and Airframe/structures
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Inspect systems, components, and structures to identify issues; resolve mechanical problems based on visual reports from crew
- Execute line maintenance (preflight, postflight, launch, recovery); enter maintenance in Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL)
- Operate power tools and equipment; service aircraft per work instructions and standards (AC 43-13, manuals, blueprints)
- Operate ground handling equipment; work in confined spaces or heights >25 feet as required
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with Engineering What We're Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance (preferred)
- Experience with multiple systems: Fuel, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, Engine, Airframe/structures
- Line maintenance experience (preflight, postflight, launch, recovery)
- Sheetmetal experience and large structure/subsystem modification (bending, riveting, fasteners, metal treatment, large LRU components)
- Strong understanding of FOD control and tool control
- Detail-oriented; strong problem-solving and adaptability
- Ability to work independently; initiative
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs; able to work flexible schedules
- Mojave, CA location; second shift and weekend work as needed Nice to Have
- A&P license (preferred but not required)
- IA (preferred)
- Flight line or flight test experience (preferred) Compensation & Benefits
