Air Export Specialist

Air Export Specialist at DHL Global Forwarding in San Francisco, CA. You will manage the movement of customer air export shipments and serve as the primary point of contact from initial inquiry through final destination. You will coordinate with overseas offices and domestic agents to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective service.

What You'll Do

• Manage and coordinate outbound air export shipments from initial customer contact to final destination.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, proactively updating them on shipment status and addressing inquiries.
• Coordinate with overseas offices and domestic agents to determine routing, bookings, and deliveries.
• Facilitate air shipment arrangements, ensuring efficient routing methods and timely deliveries to meet customer expectations.
• Track shipments end-to-end in Cargowise, maintaining timely milestone updates and achieving KPI goals.
• Maintain status updates and supporting notes in Cargowise and Salesforce.
• Work with dispatch daily and maintain communication with transportation and warehouse partners.
• Uphold TSA standards and requirements in accordance with the IACSSP program.

What We're Looking For

• Proficient use of computer systems and applications (MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel, Cargowise, Exworks, TMS, EDM).
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and good judgment in resolving issues; flexible in meeting customer needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; active listening and collaboration with team members.
• Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly, and to implement process improvements.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and capable of handling multiple tasks to meet productivity goals.
• Knowledge of air export regulations and documentation (preferred).
• Experience with Cargowise and Salesforce a plus.
• Willingness to work in a role with a 60-day probation period.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $29.00-$32.00/hr (hourly) in accordance with the CBA, 60 day probation period.
• Job type: Full Time – in office (Monday – Friday). Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
