About this role
Job title: AI Systems Engineering Content Author (Curriculum Developer)
About the Role TripleTen is building a program for experienced engineers transitioning into system architecture roles. This is a content authoring role focused on shaping the syllabus and producing lessons using AI-gen tools, with an async-first, project-based workflow estimated for 4-6 months and ~15-20 hrs/week. You’ll work with three SMEs across modules to ensure real-world production relevance and iterate with LX designer feedback.
What You'll Do
- Review and shape the existing syllabus draft: validate topic sequencing, flag gaps or unrealistic scope, ensure content reflects how systems are built in production.
- Define clear learning objectives per topic: specify what a student should be able to do after each lesson.
- Produce lessons using AI-gen tools following content guidelines; review, fact-check, and fine-tune for technical accuracy.
- Design hands-on projects and exercises realistic for working engineers studying part-time.
- Write supporting content: project instructions, rubrics, and reviewer guides.
- Respond to LX designer feedback and iterate on content in a back-and-forth process.
- Manage deadlines and collaborate with SMEs and the production team to deliver high-quality content.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of real-world experience as a Senior Systems Engineer.
- Designed and shipped systems at scale in a real company (not just coursework or side projects).
- Ability to explain why decisions were made, not just how they were implemented.
- Strong technical communication skills; able to explain complex topics clearly to learners.
- Comfortable using AI tools for content drafting and iteration.
- Strong English (C1+); content will be in English for a US audience.
- Attention to detail, proactivity, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Comfortable working in an async, structured production process.
- Experience with content authoring or education is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Clear opinions on good systems engineering and where content may be oversimplified or incorrect.
- Experience collaborating with SMEs, designers, and reviewers in a curriculum development context.
Compensation & Benefits
- Milestone-based payments tied to deliverables.
- Fully remote work with flexible hours.
- A digital office with Notion, Miro, Slack, Figma, etc.
- Professional trust and autonomy with no micromanaging.
- The opportunity to make real impact as graduates land jobs in tech.
