Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to help build a next-generation, AI-powered loan servicing and credit platform for a leading financial services organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on software engineer with a passion for artificial intelligence, modern software architecture, and solving complex business challenges through technology.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing an AI-driven platform capable of analyzing complex credit agreements, extracting critical financial terms, and automating lending and servicing workflows. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, large language models (LLMs), event-driven systems, APIs, and modern application development while helping transform how sophisticated loan products are onboarded and managed.

This role is best suited for a senior engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building innovative solutions from the ground up, and is comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications that process complex financial documents and extract key business information.

• Build and enhance AI Agents capable of understanding credit agreements, loan terms, and related financial data.

• Develop scalable backend services using Java and Python while contributing to frontend development using Angular.

• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI capabilities into production-grade applications.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and coding agents to improve software quality, productivity, and delivery speed.

• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services supporting distributed application architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support.

• Work with modern data platforms and distributed systems to support AI-enabled business processes.

• Contribute to technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform.

• Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications.

• Strong hands-on experience developing solutions that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, or generative AI capabilities.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and coding agents to accelerate software development.

• Strong proficiency in:

• Java

• Python

• Angular

• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs.

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.

• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms.

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented design, distributed systems, and application architecture.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.

• Experience integrating and orchestrating LLMs within enterprise applications.

• Financial services, banking, lending, credit, or capital markets experience.

• Experience working with loan servicing platforms, credit agreements, or structured credit products.

• Knowledge of AI-powered document processing, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or machine learning integrations.

• Experience with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, or digital transaction platforms.

• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience working on greenfield product development or early-stage platform initiatives.
