AI Quality Data Tester (Manual & Automation)

OutSystems is seeking an AI Quality Data Tester (Manual & Automation) in Bangalore, India. This role bridges traditional quality assurance with AI-driven testing, combining a strong foundation in manual exploratory testing and data validation with automated testing frameworks. You will design thoughtful test strategies, manually validate complex end-to-end data workflows, and leverage automated tools to scale quality assurance for data products from a BI and data perspective, aiming to ensure zero critical bugs reach production.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the Data Automation Excellence Strategy: develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, automated scripts, and testing frameworks for data warehouse and BI solutions.
• End-to-End Business & Data Validation: manually map complex business data workflows, create and maintain test data, and determine the optimal mix of manual and automated testing to validate end-to-end data integrity.
• Defect Elimination & Root Cause Analysis: identify, document, and conduct root cause analysis on defects, collaborating with developers and analysts to proactively prevent technical debt and protect data architecture.
• Liaise for Excellence: collaborate with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Data Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Business Operations—to promote data governance standards and build enterprise-grade data solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Quality.
• Solid background in BI and data testing, with a strong understanding of data warehousing, BI concepts, and automated test execution.
• SQL & Data Validation Mastery: proficiency in complex SQL queries, advanced data validation, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); experience in data migration projects is a plus.
• Data Governance & Quality Knowledge: understanding of data governance, data management best practices, and how to test and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems.
• Architectural & Pipeline Vision: ability to translate complex business and technical data realities into automated test strategies that support CI/CD at scale.
• Leadership & Collaboration: highly collaborative, with a track record of building consensus, initiative, responsibility, and strong attention to detail.
• Communication & Tooling Expertise: excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English mandatory) with experience using testing/tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
• Automation & AI Integration: experience in test automation, with openness or early experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, UiPath) to speed up test creation and manual test case generation.
