Job title: AI Governance & Transformation Consultant

About the Role

Zapier is seeking an AI Governance & Transformation Consultant to help enterprises scale safe and observable AI across teams. You’ll translate governance requirements into practical workflows, work with agentic experts to deploy the MCP governance layer, and ensure security, compliance, and real-time visibility across all AI-enabled automations.

What You'll Do

• Define and enforce endpoint-level restrictions, app/action/model allowances, and data controls to ensure safe AI use.

• Implement Zapier MCP as the single governance layer across all AI agents connected to the organization.

• Create dedicated team workspaces with inherited guardrails, templates, and built-in safeguards to accelerate AI workflows.

• Enable rapid deployment using guided templates and pre-approved configurations while maintaining security standards.

• Establish observability by streaming workflow activity to Datadog, Splunk, or SIEM, and generate automated documentation for every workflow.

• Manage identity and access with SCIM provisioning, SSO, domain restrictions, and role-based access control.

• Maintain auditability with per-workflow logs, asset history, and centralized access control.

• Provide training, enablement, and ongoing governance oversight to reduce shadow IT.

• What We're Looking For

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise AI governance, security, and compliance programs.

• Strong knowledge of SOC 2 Type II & SOC 3, GDPR, and CCPA, and experience with IAM concepts (SSO, SCIM, domain capture).

• Ability to define fine-grained permissions at the app, action, and data levels; experience with RBAC and policy-based access.

• Familiarity with observability/security tooling (Datadog, Splunk, SIEM) and logging.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience with Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) and running AI in customers' infrastructures.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced enterprise environments.

• Nice to Have

• Experience integrating multiple AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) with governance controls.

• Experience with Bedrock or other enterprise AI platforms.

• Knowledge of end-to-end AI workflows and governance across vendor tools.

• Experience with template-driven development and AI safety guardrails.
