About the team
Ultimus is investing in AI to transform how fund administration work gets done, from generative AI assistants, intelligent document processing and machine learning to a growing set of agentic AI workflows. Our AI Development teams are small, cross-functional groups of AI engineers, data scientists, data engineers and AI analysts who partner closely with our operations experts to redesign key workflows and build the AI solutions that support them, with AI agents an increasingly important part of that work. They are backed by a dedicated AI Infrastructure team and a shared enterprise AI platform.
About the role
As AI Engineer in an AI Development pod you build the AI solutions that run our redesigned workflows, from first prototype to production, on our shared Azure AI platform. That work ranges from generative AI applications and document processing to AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
What you'll do

Build AI-powered applications, from LLM assistants and document extraction to AI agents and multi-agent workflows that read documents, pull data, perform checks and prepare work for human review.

Connect AI solutions to our systems and data through APIs, MCP servers and the shared AI platform.

Build the workflow logic, tool integrations, guardrails and human review steps for each workflow.

Write automated tests and evaluations, and fix defects every sprint through testing with users.

Take workflows through pilot and into production, then keep improving them as they scale across funds and clients.

Work alongside our AI partners in 2027 and then lead builds as part of an Ultimus pod.
