This is an engineering position within The Exhaust Aftertreatment systems team located in Hagerstown Maryland. Our team is responsible for the development of hardware for after-treatment systems (Muffler, Urea dosing system, substrates and coating) and the urea dosing system calibration. The Hagerstown EATS team is seeking an experienced engineer in the field of Engine Aftertreatment systems Hardware development. You should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering. You will report to the Group Manager of the Aftertreatment engineering team.

Your responsibilities in our group will include:

• Support the development, validation, and production implementation of aftertreatment hardware components in collaboration with suppliers and global engineering teams.
• Plan and execute aftertreatment EATS system test, verification and validation in the rig, test cell and vehicles.
• Work collaboratively cross functionally locally and with global teams: Engine, Aftertreatment and On-Board Diagnosis Software and calibration teams.
• Take responsibility for efficiently and accurately executing test procedures while concurrently reviewing test results to ensure reliability of data.
• Issue written and oral reports
• Define and implement solutions for aftertreatment customer issues.
• Release and implement data calibration solutions for production and aftermarket.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.

Job Requirements

Details:

Qualifications of a successful candidate include:

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 2-5+ years of experience in engineering.

• Experienced with diesel engines and/or exhaust aftertreatment development.

• Experience with Coating and substrates technology and chemistry is a plus.

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Action oriented with ability to work with minimal supervision

• Motivated to solve problems and develop quality solutions in a timely manner

• Ability to successfully collaborate with global and cross-functional colleagues

• Innovative mindset with customer focus

• Authorized to work in the United States required
