Job title: Aftermarket Sales Representative
About the Role
The Aftermarket Sales Representative will drive aftersales revenue by promoting aftermarket services and value-added products, and by managing and expanding the client base in line with GP targets. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer experience and converting new business in the After Sales department.
What You'll Do
- Promote aftermarket services, parts, rental offerings, service contracts, tyres, driver training, load testing and inhouse engineering to support revenue growth and profitability.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers; contact new and existing clients to discuss needs and how they can be met, including driving training and safety.
- Visit new customers to promote forklift safety, training and load testing; respond to questions on products, pricing, availability and credit terms; quote prices and prepare sales contracts.
- Ensure timely orders, invoicing, collections, and fulfillment; monitor discounts within policy and approve within limits; conduct site inspections as required.
- Develop and implement territory strategy to target and convert new accounts, including cold calling and opportunity qualification.
- Maintain high-quality customer interactions and service, build partnerships, and ensure proper coverage for the assigned territory.
- Plan and achieve short-term and long-term rental targets; prepare reports and support administrative processes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric; valid Code EB / 8 driver's licence.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years in sales/aftersales or related field; proven track record managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
- Languages: English (Professional).
- Skills: Customer relationship management, ability to analyse client needs, strong communication, and basic understanding of forklifts and related equipment; ability to prepare quotes, contracts, and coordinate orders.
