About the Role AB Volvo seeks an Aftermarket Readiness Lead within the Aftermarket Services Technology team to drive market launch readiness and long-term aftermarket support. This role sits at the intersection of innovation and execution, shaping global aftermarket standards and coordinating with international teams to improve customer experience and product lifecycle performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead the cross functional aftermarket project team to ensure Aftermarket Readiness at launch.
- Drive and monitor aftermarket needs in the machine/component project team.
- Assess aftermarket project risks and escalate issues to governance.
- Facilitate trade-off discussions to enable the right business decisions.
- Ensure stakeholders are prepared for product launches from an end-user perspective according to ordinary processes.
- Ensure aftermarket services work end-to-end.
- Plan NPD project activities and maintain aftermarket deliverables.
- Plan Product Improvement (Product Maintenance) activities and execute them per PM process.
- Plan and follow up project budget and resources.
- Secure project deliveries on-time, on-cost, on-target.
- Compile white-books and project learnings for continuous improvement.
- Formulate, agree, and communicate the aftermarket section in the project description.
- Manage the project according to the chosen model (GDP/DVP or Agile/SCRUM).
- Represent aftermarket in project teams and local implementation forums, contributing to trade-off decisions.
- Request necessary resources from aftermarket line organizations; request support in governance forums.
- Guide and manage assigned global resources to meet aftermarket targets and deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in aftermarket or product development.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive end-to-end readiness from Day One.
- Experience with risk management, governance, and making trade-off decisions.
- Ability to plan NPD activities, product maintenance, budgets, and resources.
- Familiarity with GDP/DVP or Agile/SCRUM project models.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication across global teams; able to influence without direct authority.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as part of the role.
