Aftermarket Program Leader (m/w/d)

Honeywell Aerospace

About this role

Honeywell Aerospace

Join a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century. At Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ: HONA), we're launching as an independent, publicly traded aerospace and defense company built on a legacy of operational excellence and mission-focused execution.

Our new brand identity pairs that heritage with real momentum, as we build technology that helps pilots navigate with confidence, aircraft operate more efficiently, and operators stay ahead of change. With our systems on board 90% of the world's aircraft, your work here has reach that's rare to find anywhere else.

Focusing on our customers, investing in innovation, and building a culture of accountability and performance is how we're shaping what comes next.

Every horizon. Every mission. Every day.

The Retrofit, Modification, and Upgrade (RMU) Centre of Excellence (COE) is responsible for developing and certifying Aftermarket solutions for all channels including airlines, business and general aviation, and military customers worldwide.

As a member of the RMU COE, you will be responsible for driving short and long-cycle decoupled growth. This involves playing a pivotal role in the end-to-end process of certifying products for aircraft, developing installation kits, and implementing Go-to-Market strategies.

The RMU COE is seeking an individual to lead the oversight of turnkey solutions and targeted customer programs. These initiatives aim to modernize in-service aircraft and encompass various activities from the front end of business development to product end of life. This includes tasks such as business case development, aircraft solution development, and business management with customers (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul centres (MROs), aircraft operators, leasing companies), as well as collaboration with STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) Partners (both external and internal DOA Part 21).

Additionally, close collaboration with cross-functional teams (GBEs, Sales, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, ISC, Licencing, etc.) is essential. Depending on the program setup, you will serve as the engineering leader and the primary decision-maker for engineering cost, schedule, and technical issues related to engineering functions. You will lead the prioritization of work packages, establish design goal and objectives, and drive engineering and overall program performance. Leverage your technical experience and skills to guide your team in every aspect of the RMU program’s engineering execution. Use your advanced leadership abilities to motivate and energize teams responsible for designing new or modifying existing products, parts, or processes.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, self-directed, well versed in key avionics, connectivity, and/or mechanical systems, understand STC or aircraft certification activities, and be results oriented. Reporting directly to the Regional RMU COE Director, you will contribute to the continuous growth and success of the RMU COE.
