Job title: Aerospace Transparencies - Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role You will be the senior quality engineering lead for aerospace transparencies, responsible for preventive quality engineering, systemic problem solving, and customer quality execution across the product lifecycle. This role emphasizes root cause elimination, data-driven decision making, and embedding quality into design, manufacturing, and support processes.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary quality engineering lead for customer quality issues, complaints, and audits.
• Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and drive containment, corrective, and preventive actions using structured methodologies.
• Ensure corrective actions address true systemic and process causes, verify effectiveness, and embed lessons learned into standard work.
• Apply advanced quality tools and analyze quality data to identify trends and risks.
• Partner across functions to implement sustainable process improvements and represent quality requirements in design, change, and failure reviews.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven insights to support leadership decision-making and customer communication.
• Act as a senior technical influencer, mentoring quality engineers and driving outcomes through expertise rather than authority.
• This position is based fully onsite in Huntsville, AL, reporting to the Quality Manager.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Eight or more years of aerospace or similar environmental quality engineering experience.
• Six Sigma, CQE, or similar certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100, FAA, and EASA compliance requirements.
• Eligibility to apply: U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees.
• Strong analytical, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Six Sigma, CQE or similar certifications preferred.
• Additional aerospace quality systems experience and familiarity with customer audits.
