About the Role The Aerospace Systems Engineer Journeyman will contribute to the design, integration, and support of complex aerospace systems for defense and space programs based in Dayton, Ohio. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance meets mission requirements and timelines. The position is with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI).
What You'll Do
- Perform systems engineering activities across the life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, and verification for aerospace programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze performance, manage interfaces, and support testing and validation activities.
- Contribute to program planning, risk management, and documentation to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in aerospace or defense systems engineering; familiarity with requirements management, modeling/analysis, and verification.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork; ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
- Active security clearance or eligibility; experience with certification processes (e.g., DO-178C/DO-254) is a plus.
- Proficiency with aerospace simulation tools and modeling languages.
