Job title: Aerospace Engineering Lead
About the Role You will be leading a team of 5 to 10 engineers involved in developing technical solutions in the tooling industry, with projects primarily in the aerospace sector. You will direct the engineering concept, design and development activities to ensure on-time delivery, within budget, and the highest engineering quality.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team (5–10 engineers) in tooling and automated equipment projects
- Direct engineering concept, design and development activities for aerospace projects
- Ensure programs meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and ensure alignment with customer requirements
- Manage project timelines and resource allocations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering or related field
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with a track record of leading teams
- Experience in tooling and automated equipment projects, preferably in the aerospace sector
- CAE structural analysis experience/knowledge
- Location: Detroit Metro Area; capable of hybrid work arrangement
Nice to Have
- Fluency in Spanish (a plus)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Between $130,000 and $180,000 USD per year (depends on experience)
