Advisor Agriculture

- Provide expert agricultural assessment advice that informs major development and rezoning decisions across NSW.
- Work on diverse and high-profile planning projects, including State Significant Developments (SSD), State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) and State-led rezonings

- Parramatta, Wollongong or Newcastle and other NSW office locations to be considered
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 + super
Join a team where your agricultural expertise helps influence planning decisions that shape the future of communities, industries and regions across NSW. In this role, you will contribute to the assessment of development applications, major projects and rezoning proposals by providing practical, evidence-based agricultural advice that supports consistent and sustainable planning outcomes.
Working across a varied portfolio of projects, you will analyse agricultural, environmental, land use and related data, contribute to technical assessments and reports, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills, support continuous improvement initiatives and play a key role in delivering high-quality advice within established governance and quality assurance frameworks

What you will bring to the role :
- Experience analysing complex agricultural, environmental or land use information and translating findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality across multiple projects and technical assessments.
- The ability to learn and confidently navigate new systems, tools, methodologies and planning processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships and contribute to achieving shared outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities, respond to feedback and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement, professional integrity and evidence-based decision making.
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience, such as Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Environmental Science.
