About the Role Advanced Water Technician at BELFOR Property Restoration in Orlando. This role leads the drying and repair of water-damaged residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, acting as a local/global resource within BELFOR’s network and coordinating multiple teams on advanced losses. What You'll Do
- Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and notify managers of progress and challenges.
- Provide field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches for various TPA projects.
- Use acquired skills to draw sketches, read plans and floor plans, develop humidity content records, complete pyrometric records and determine the drying objectives.
- Calculate the load (content) of humidity in a building, calculate the cubic meters of the affected parts of the building and request additional support as needed.
- Delimit and dimension large losses and specify the systems of drying by heat and desiccant as appropriate; understand electrical demand of drying equipment and temporary energy needs; integrate heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) to enhance drying.
- Lead multiple teams in CAT situations and assume significant production responsibility as needed. What We're Looking For
- IICRC ASD/S500/S520 knowledge and IICRC ASD designation.
- Mastery of moisture mapping and drying systems.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and be eligible to operate a vehicle.
- English fluency.
- Proficiency with tools such as HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter, IR camera, and LGR.
- Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills for field projects.
