About the Role The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an Advanced Practicing Provider for its General OBGYN division serving patients in community FQHC settings as well as UC Health clinics. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive and trauma-informed care in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians.
What You'll Do
- Provide prenatal care including outreach to pregnant patients with social determinants of health that make it difficult to obtain prenatal care
- Work with Care Managers, Social Workers, RNs and MDs to provide full class care to all patients
- Provide postpartum care
- Provide family planning options and perform procedures related to family planning
- Provide procedures and care related to pregnancy
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests; monitor the effectiveness of interventions; prescribe necessary treatment and services
- Perform office-based procedures within the scope of practice
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team; make appropriate referrals when needed
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans; maintain accurate medical records in a timely fashion
- Seek consults from supervising physicians when needed and participate in case/chart review
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives; complete trainings in a timely fashion; perform related duties as needed

What We're Looking For
- Education: Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA-approved Nurse Practitioner Program; or Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority and board certification in appropriate nursing specialty; OR Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority and NCCPA certification
- Experience: Three (3) years of nursing experience (additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty)
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty
- Strong collaboration and trauma-informed, patient-centered care skills
