About the Role The College of Medicine, Department of Urology, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support the urology office's clinical responsibilities under faculty supervision. This role focuses on general urology with the potential to develop subspecialty expertise under mentorship, delivering comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients in the Department of Urology. What You'll Do
- Acquire patient history and perform physical examinations of urology patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Perform office-based procedures within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in the delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision-making using evidence-based practice.
- Possible participation in research and development projects.
- Participate in the education of APP learners.
- Work collaboratively with residents, fellows, and medical students.
