About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine Department seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) — either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — to support infusion therapy services across hospital-based and ambulatory infusion centers. The APP will work with the neurology team and infusion services to improve access, safety, and coordination of care for patients receiving infusion therapies, supervise and coordinate care across multiple sites, and help standardize protocols and transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings. - Perform pre-infusion assessment and post-infusion follow-up, and monitor during treatment.
- Supervise and coordinate infusion therapies across multiple sites, ensuring standardized protocols and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the neurology team and infusion services to improve access, safety, and coordination of care for patients with infusion therapies.
- Facilitate transitions between inpatient and outpatient care and participate in education of nurse practitioners, NP students, and medical students.
- Participate in research and development projects and maintain accurate medical records.
- Be prepared for call coverage related to infusion therapy coordination and patient management. What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program with three years of nursing experience (for the NP path) and active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority and board certification in the appropriate nursing specialty.
- OR Physician Assistant Master’s Degree from an accredited PA program with active Ohio PA license with prescriptive authority and NCCPA certification.
- Board certification in the appropriate field (nursing specialty for NP path, or PA certification for PA path).
- Ability to educate patients and families, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and participate in teaching and research. Compensation & Benefits
