About the Role The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - GI at Luminis Health will diagnose and treat digestive system problems through direct patient care, consultation, research, leadership, and collaboration. The role supports a developing GI program with roughly 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient clinical activity, requiring strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team of physicians and referring colleagues. What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care including consultations, interpretation of results, and treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients as requested.
- Conduct pre-endoscopy assessment, scheduling and planning; coordinate care with referring colleagues.
- Collaborate with physicians and other providers for care coordination and follow-up.
- Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, diet changes, and lifestyle modifications; participate in department educational and research activities; maintain commitment to lifelong learning.
- Assist with endoscopy preparation and contribute to program development; orientation to GI specialty can be provided under physician guidance. What We're Looking For
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Maryland.
- 3+ years of clinical experience; GI or related clinical experience preferred.
- Comfort with inpatient and outpatient care; experience with pre-endoscopy assessment and scheduling.
- EMR proficiency; strong communication and teaching skills.
- Orthopedic experience.
- Orientation to GI specialty can be provided under physician guidance. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19-$23 per hour
- Onsite, Part-Time position in Annapolis, Maryland
