About the Role Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Neurosciences Department. Under the direction of collaborating physicians, provides care to patients in both clinic and hospital settings, supporting outpatient and inpatient services. What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under protocol in direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
- Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations; order imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interpret results.
- Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens and pre/post-operative instructions; maintain records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures.
- Follow patients through their course of treatment in clinic and hospital; collaborate with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice; participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty.
- Assess learning needs of patients and families across the continuum; provide teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health.
- Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants; adhere to Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
- Support the strategic plan and service line goals; contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience. What We're Looking For
- Licensure: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the State of Illinois; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substances license required.
- Education: Master's degree in specialty area.
- Certification: BLS/CPR certification required.
- Experience: 1 year of neurology and/or cranial APP experience required. Nice to Have
- Expertise/knowledge of neurosurgery with focus on cranial.
- Eager to learn; ability to multitask in fast-paced environment; great communication and interpersonal skills. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $57.76 - $80.86 per hour.
