About the Role
This role performs advanced mechanical and hydraulic maintenance inspections, diagnoses issues, and implements corrective actions, conducting systematic problem analysis for improvements while adhering to applicable procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose and perform advanced mechanical and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Follow up repairs to ensure effectiveness and quality.
- Disassemble and assemble complex mechanical components.
- Inspect equipment according to maintenance plans; develop and test preventive maintenance plans.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and propose actions to prevent recurrence.
- Review emergency repairs and failure analyses.
- Plan machine upgrades or replacements and subassembly policies.
- Perform mechanical and optical alignments; build hydraulic piping and install accessories.
- Interpret technical drawings; operate welding equipment.
- Execute lockouts and tagouts and verify tools and instruments meet specifications.
- Plan corrective actions for scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns; carry out predictive maintenance techniques under supervision.
- Ensure availability of resources and maintain minimum stock; input data into maintenance systems.
- Interact with other areas; operate forklift or radio-controlled overhead crane when applicable. What We're Looking For
- Experience in advanced maintenance inspections and repairs of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in disassembly/assembly of complex components and interpreting technical drawings.
- Skilled in welding; mechanical and optical alignments; hydraulic piping installation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including lockouts and tagouts; experience with maintenance planning.
- Ability to plan preventive and corrective maintenance; support predictive maintenance under supervision.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to interact with other areas.
- Willingness to operate forklifts or overhead cranes where applicable. Nice to Have
- Experience with hydraulic piping installations and hydraulic accessories.
- Experience performing machine and equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Experience with machine alignment and optical alignment techniques.
- Welding certification or experience with welding equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and inventory control.
