About the Role Performs advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis and corrective actions on mechanical and hydraulic systems. Works safely and efficiently following procedures and quality standards, identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to equipment reliability. What You'll Do
- Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced mechanic and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Follows up repairs ensuring effectiveness and reliability.
- Disassembles and assembles complex mechanical components.
- Inspects equipment according to maintenance plans.
- Performs complex failure analysis, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Reviews emergency repairs and failure analyses.
- Proposes machine or equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Plans subassemblies policies.
- Performs mechanical and optical alignments.
- Builds hydraulic piping and installs accessories.
- Interprets technical drawings.
- Operates welding equipment.
- Executes machine lockouts and tagouts.
- Verifies tools, instruments and accessories meet specifications.
- Develops and tests preventive maintenance plans.
- Plans corrective actions for scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns based on inspections and diagnosed problems.
- Plans and carries out predictive maintenance under supervision.
- Ensures availability of resources, minimum stock, and accurate maintenance data in systems.
- Interacts with other areas.
- Carries out forklift or radio-controlled overhead crane operation when applicable. What We're Looking For
- Experience with advanced mechanical and hydraulic systems maintenance; strong diagnostics and trouble-shooting skills.
- Ability to perform complex repairs, disassembly/assembly, alignments, welding; interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including lockout/tagout.
- Experience developing preventive and predictive maintenance plans; maintenance planning and stock/resource management.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments and maintain safe working environment. Nice to Have
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience or certification.
