Job title: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role Join ZF in Hangzhou as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (FutureStarter) to shape the future of mobility. You will lead assembly planning, capital investment analyses, and equipment installation for the Hangzhou region, owning production KPIs from planning through line final acceptance.
What You'll Do
- Lead assembly planning activities within Region Hangzhou for internal and external customers, including pre-planning, capital investment analyses, equipment vendor selection, installation/commissioning of the assembly line (first run-off), and production releases of the assembly line and assembly processes.
- Own all production KPIs related to assembly processes from planning to line final acceptance.
- Develop capital models for equipment cost estimation; analyze cost/pricing differences between new investments and equipment changeovers.
- Conduct and lead planning activities such as DFM, PFMEA, and cycle time calculations in project phase.
- Complete vendor assessments on-site and via performance analyses for selection initiatives.
- Ensure implementation in planning phase for equipment installation in the plant related to pre-series and launch management projects.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Tier-1/2 supplier or OEM environment.
- 3+ years of project supervision in one or more areas: industrialization, assembly line engineering, and/or program/launch management.
- Knowledge of assembly planning, including processes such as tightening, pressing, gluing, laser marking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 3D modeling software such as CREO and AutoCAD.
