Job title: Advanced Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer to apply deep electrical engineering expertise across generators, power transmission and distribution, electrical protection systems, emergency power systems, and specialty equipment. The role uses business acumen and risk-based judgment to maximize value across the full lifecycle of oil and gas projects and operating assets through equipment selection, failure analysis, maintenance support, technology application, and risk management.
What You'll Do
- Perform performance analysis and support root-cause investigations of recurring issues.
- Collaborate with OEMs and fleet engineers to validate performance trends and recommend operational adjustments.
- Coordinate outage scope development with internal stakeholders; support planning teams with technical input; document and share lessons learned through Communities of Practice; participate in outage reviews for multiple sites.
- Analyze site and fleet data to identify performance gaps; communicate findings to site leadership and support implementation of improvement actions.
- Provide feedback on applicability and performance of applied industry technology; support evaluation of new technologies through pilot testing and data collection.
- Participate in Communities of Practice and vendor technical discussions; provide feedback on site-specific needs and escalate issues as needed.
- Apply electrical engineering knowledge to maximize value across the lifecycle from new equipment selection to maintenance and risk management.
What We're Looking For
- Deep electrical engineering knowledge across generators, power transmission, power distribution, electrical protection systems, emergency power systems, and specialty equipment.
- Ability to apply business acumen and risk-based judgment across the lifecycle of oil and gas projects and assets.
- Experience working independently on moderately complex electrical engineering projects with minimal instruction.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to analyze site and fleet data and share findings with leadership.
- Experience coordinating outages and contributing to lessons learned via Communities of Practice.
- Collaboration with OEMs, fleet engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Vendor relationship management and performance tracking.
