Admissions Counselor

The Admissions department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Admissions Counselor position.

The Admissions Counselor will represent St. Catherine University to prospective students and their families when recruiting. They will ensure the quantity and quality of undergraduate students desired by the University enroll each year.

The Admissions Counselor will:

• Counsel and advise prospective students and their families about admission to the College for Women, costs and financial aid.
• Manage geographic territory including visiting high schools, attending college fairs, communicating with inquiries and applicants by phone, email, text, & in person.
• Assist with coordination and execution of group campus visit programs, including but not necessarily limited to overnight programs, small group visits, PSEO, webinars, and Fall Visit Days.
• Act as Admission liaison other campus offices to coordinate recruitment efforts with those departments. Provide new information about depts to admission staff.
• Review application files and conduct required interviews.
• Attend staff and other campus meetings. Maintain professional development by attending conferences, membership on committees.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to plan and conduct small and large group presentations/programs. Must be flexible, positive, and team-oriented. Understanding of and appreciation for the mission of the University.
• Genuine interest and/or experience in interacting with a diverse population of students and parents.
• Knowledge of business concepts, theories and/or specialized principles, policies and techniques of a professional field or discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience in admission, college advising, college counseling, financial literacy or financial education. This includes experience in counseling high school students on college preparation and affordability.
• Experience in Slate, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Compensation

Annual wage is $42,474 – $50,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
