Job Description:
World Vision République démocratique du Congo (WVDRC) intervenes in 13 of the 26 provinces of the DRC. Founded in the 1980s as an emergency aid organization, WVDRC has become one of the largest international NGOs in the country, working for transformative development, humanitarian aid and advocacy for the well-being of children and their families. Despite abundant natural resources, decades of exploitation and poor governance in the DRC have led to violent and prolonged conflicts for political power and resources. Consequently, 73.5% of the approximately 112.8 million Congolese live in extreme poverty with less than $2.15 per day.
In 2025, WVDRC’s total staff was about 500. Its main intervention sectors are education, child protection, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), resilience and livelihoods, health and nutrition, as well as emergency relief. Long-term development and emergency programs are implemented in the 13 provinces where WV is present, divided into three major regions: East, West and South. Major donors include the Department of State, United Nations agencies (UNICEF, UN OCHA), FCDO, the EU, the Dutch Relief Alliance, Rotary, DFAT (ANCP), ADH, ENABEL, UNDP (Global Fund project), ECW.
