About the Role The Department of Home Affairs is offering entry-level Administration Clerk positions to provide essential administrative support in the public sector. Two opportunities are available: Administration Clerk (SCRA) at the Standing Committee for Refugee Affairs and Administration Clerk (RAASA) at the Refugee Appeals Authority of South Africa, based at Head Office in Tshwane. The roles involve a range of clerical duties, travel coordination, meetings and events, and routine documentation tasks. What You'll Do
- Provide clerical support to the unit
- Liaise with travel agencies to arrange travel and verify documents
- Arrange meetings and events for the manager and staff, including venue selection, invitations, refreshments, and scheduling
- Process travel and subsistence claims for the unit
- Process invoices related to activities
- Record basic meeting minutes and draft routine correspondence and reports
- File documents and manage leave registers and telephone accounts
- Receive, record, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents
- Handle procurement of standard items such as stationery and refreshments What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 or an NQF Level 4 qualification in Office Management or Business Administration (SAQA-recognised)
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations; basic understanding of departmental legislation and HR prescripts
- Willingness to work extended hours

- Salary: R228 321 per annum, plus 37% in lieu of service benefits
