About the Role The Western Cape Government is inviting unemployed youth to apply for multiple entry-level Administration Clerk positions across departments in Cape Town and Brackenfell. Roles support administrative, financial, human resource, and logistics-related functions within the Integrated Development Planning, Land Transport Safety Promotion, Logistics/Registry, Transport, and Youth Development units. What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support related to departmental operations, meetings, and communications.
- Support procurement, asset management, and logistics processes as required by the specific unit.
- Perform general clerical tasks including filing, records keeping, and data entry.
- Assist with personnel administration, financial administration, and supply chain clerical duties within the relevant sub-directorates.
- Support the Director and middle managers with meeting administration and coordination.
- Book vehicles, process vehicle usage applications, conduct vehicle inspections, and manage traffic-related administrative duties where applicable.
- Handle logistics-related tasks such as provisioning, asset registers, and loss control for assigned sites (e.g., Gene Louw Traffic College). What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
- It will be advantageous to have administrative support experience.
- A valid Code B or higher driving licence is advantageous for relevant posts (note: some roles may require or benefit from driving eligibility).
- Ability to work onsite in a government office environment; willingness to perform physically demanding tasks where required (e.g., carrying equipment).

- Experience in logistics, procurement, or asset management.
- Familiarity with public service prescripts/policies and internal administrative procedures. Compensation & Benefits
