About the Role The Department of Defence invites unemployed youth to apply for an entry-level Administration Clerk role based in Pretoria, supporting Military Legal Services with clerical duties in a government environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in civil service and contribute to routine administrative operations. What You'll Do
- Render clerical services to the Military Legal Services and perform routine, directive-intensive clerical duties.
- Handle less complicated routine correspondence and processing of documents related to division activities.
- Answer and screen telephone calls, take notes, and type documents for the Officer in Charge.
- Submit inland, expenditure and accommodation claims; keep the Officer in Charge's diary and remind for meetings.
- Receive visitors, arrange refreshments, and file documents.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks such as drafting letters of thanks and managing invitations.
- Perform elementary calculations and maintain and issue statistics.
- Receive and transmit messages via fax machine. What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent; No experience required. Diploma/Degree will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication, coordination, planning and organisational skills.
- Flexibility, teamwork, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, and the ability to maintain discipline. Nice to Have

- Salary: R237 453 – R279 708 per annum (Level 05).
