Job title: Administration Clerk (Asset / DCRS) – Office of the Chief Justice (Multiple Locations)
About the Role The Office of the Chief Justice is inviting unemployed youth to apply for government entry-level positions including Administration Clerk roles (Asset Management and DCRS) across multiple locations. These are junior, development-oriented posts with a standard annual salary and opportunities to gain experience in court processes and asset administration.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support for Asset Management compliance, asset tagging, registering assets, maintaining inventories, and processing related payments.
- Manage asset movement, licensing, and disposal processes, ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Support pre-recording and recording duties for court proceedings, operate and test CRT equipment, capture case details, preschedule cases, and maintain court recordings.
- Assist with statistics collection, reporting deadlines, and general administrative tasks for the Division of the High Court.
- Interact with stakeholders, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to applicable policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate; no prior experience required.
- Advantageous: valid driver’s license and knowledge of asset management or court administration.
- Knowledge of PFMA, Financial policies and procedures, Treasury Regulations; BAS; PMDS; DFI and SCOA; and strong MS Office skills.
- Able to perform data entry, record-keeping, analytical thinking, time management, and effective communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and show initiative.
Nice to Have
- Valid driver’s license (where applicable).
- Experience in asset management, court administration, or related support functions is beneficial.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: R237,453 – R279,708 per annum (Level 05).
- Location: Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and Northern Cape offices with on-site work.
