About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Law seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach a Products Liability course for Spring 2027 or Fall 2028. Courses are taught by practicing jurists and experienced practitioners and emphasize practical application of civil liability theories in product-related injuries. What You'll Do
- Prepare the syllabus, select teaching materials, readings, and assessments; design lesson plans.
- Deliver course content using appropriate pedagogical methods; manage attendance and refer performance issues as needed.
- Use Canvas or other LMS to post materials and communicate with students; provide timely feedback on assignments and exams.
- Schedule and hold office hours; grade mid-term and final exams and other assessments according to policy; review course evaluations to improve teaching.
- Adhere to University and College policies; complete employment documentation and trainings. What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from ABA-accredited law school and five years post-JD experience (exceptions possible when co-teaching with minimum-experience faculty).
- Effective communication and professional demeanor; alignment with College mission and values.
- Ability to teach and mentor students in a pragmatic, practitioner-focused environment. Nice to Have
- Prior teaching experience is desirable but not essential; must demonstrate evidence of teaching potential.
