About the Role The Gregory H. Olsen College of Engineering and Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metro Campus is seeking an adjunct professor to teach general chemistry lecture courses and associated recitation sections. The role involves in-person instruction, assessing student learning through homework, quizzes, and exams, and assigning final grades. What You'll Do
- Teach general chemistry lecture courses and corresponding recitation sections at the Metro Campus.
- Lead in-person instruction, assign and assess homework, worksheets, quizzes, and exams.
- Grade assignments and provide timely feedback; assign final grades for the course.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to support student success and maintain course outcomes. What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree or higher in chemistry or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience is required.
- Candidates with industrial experience are welcome.
- Willingness to undergo a satisfactory background check, sign a waiver, and provide a Social Security Card. Nice to Have
- Industrial experience (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $900–$1000 per contact hour (USD).
