About the Role
North Central College seeks adjunct supervisors to guide preservice candidates through PK-12 field placement experiences at partner school sites. The supervisors mentor undergraduate teacher licensure candidates across elementary, special, secondary, and K-12 content areas by reviewing lesson plans, providing feedback, and conducting site observations. Responsibilities include collaborating with cooperating teachers and the placement coordinator to monitor progress, complete observation paperwork, and support student growth through regular communication.
What You'll Do

Review selected student lesson plans and offer suggestions/revisions

Conduct observations of candidate-led lessons at the school site

Meet with students to set goals, identify strengths and areas for development

Complete observation paperwork, monitor progress, and assist with grade submissions

Collaborate with placement coordinator to assess student assessments and foster K-12 partnerships

Foster a culture of growth and student success

Communicate regularly with assigned students, cooperating teachers, the placement coordinator, fellow supervisors

Attend orientation/updates meetings with department personnel as needed

Coordinate field experiences for Spring 2026 in the content areas of Secondary Education – English, Art Education, and Elementary Education
