Job title: Adjunct Pool - Instructors of Environmental Studies
About the Role The Environmental Studies Program invites applications for an adjunct position for the 2026 spring semester to teach Environmental Studies on a per-course basis. The successful candidate will teach ENVI 105: The Science of Climate Change and ENVI 120: People and Nature, with an integrated laboratory experience for ENVI 105, and contribute to the program's interdisciplinary offerings.
What You'll Do
- Teach per-course Environmental Studies courses (e.g., ENVI 105 and ENVI 120) during the spring 2026 semester.
- Develop and deliver course materials, assignments, assessments, and laboratory experiences as applicable.
- Provide timely feedback to students and maintain alignment with program expectations.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Studies Program and participate in related activities as available.
What We're Looking For
- A master's degree in Environmental Studies or a related field and college-level teaching experience.
- Ability to teach ENVI 105 and/or ENVI 120; background in climate science, environmental policy, or interdisciplinary environmental studies.
- A terminal degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to effective, student-centered instruction and inclusive teaching.
Nice to Have
- Terminal degree preferred.
- Experience integrating laboratory components and interdisciplinary instruction.
Compensation & Benefits
- The budgeted salary range for this position is $3,840 – $4,160 per course. This is adjunct, per-course compensation; no additional benefits are specified in the posting.
