About the Role The Department of Chemistry and Physics at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct (per-course) faculty position to teach physics lecture and/or laboratory sections. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for future teaching opportunities. This is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointment with no tenure eligibility. What You'll Do
- Teach physics lecture and/or laboratory sections as assigned per course needs.
- Contribute to curriculum and student learning in physics courses.
- Maintain high teaching standards and participate in department duties as required. What We're Looking For
- A Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or an associated field is preferred; candidates with a master’s degree and college-level teaching experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence and ability to contribute to student success. Nice to Have
- Experience teaching physics at the college level and ability to teach both lecture and laboratory sections. Compensation & Benefits
- Budgeted salary range: $1,680 to $2,860 per course.
- This is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointment with no tenure eligibility.
