About the Role The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct (per-course) faculty position to teach courses on an ongoing or per-semester basis. What You'll Do
- Teach designated mechanical engineering courses on an ongoing or per-semester basis (Thermodynamics; Engineering methods (SolidWorks design and 3D printers); Manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, laser cutter, etc.); Mechanical simulation (SolidWorks); Robotics (MATLAB)).
- Develop and update syllabi, deliver lectures and labs, assess student work, and coordinate with the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering on course offerings.
- Participate in the adjunct pool and be contacted when opportunities arise, with employment contingent on departmental needs and enrollment. What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or significant industry experience.
- College-level teaching experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the listed course areas (SolidWorks, 3D printing, CNC, casting, laser cutting, MATLAB) is desirable. Nice to Have
- Prior college-level teaching experience (explicitly preferred). Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $960 – $1040 per credit hour (per-hour pay); actual pay determined by experience and qualifications.
