About the Role North Central College invites applications for an adjunct faculty pool in the English department. We seek qualified instructors to teach courses as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Applications will be reviewed continuously, and candidates will be considered for future openings as they arise. What You'll Do
- Teach a variety of English courses, including composition, literature, creative and professional writing, and other related subjects, depending on departmental needs.
- Prepare course materials, deliver instruction, grade assignments, and provide student support.
- Work on a per-course basis with opportunities for future openings. What We're Looking For
- An earned M.A., M.F.A., or Ph.D. in a related field.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students.
- Ability to contribute to a dynamic English department and adapt to departmental needs.
- Willingness to identify courses of interest and relevant expertise in the cover letter. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $1,880 - $4,320 per course.
