Job title: Adjunct Pool, Dept of Counseling, Psychology, & Development
About the Role The LaFetra College of Education at the University of La Verne is building an adjunct pool to support three student-centered programs: the M.S. in Educational Counseling, the M.S. in School Psychology, and the undergraduate Child Development major. Adjunct instructors teach courses primarily on the main La Verne campus, with some online, hybrid, or remote options. Applicants will be added to an ongoing Adjunct Pool and will indicate the specific program for which they are applying.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate Child Development courses and graduate-level Educational Counseling and School Psychology courses primarily on the main campus, with online, hybrid, and/or remote delivery as needed.
- Collaborate within a diverse, collaborative training community committed to preparing ethical, culturally responsive practitioners and educators who lead with competence, advocacy, and social change in PK–12 and community contexts.
- Contribute to program development, assessment, and student success efforts in alignment with program goals and accreditation expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Educational Counseling Qualifications: earned doctorate or master’s degree in Educational Counseling or School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution; PPS Credential with specialization in School Counseling; a minimum of three years of successful experience in Educational Counseling PK-16; commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations; experience with planning, organizing, and implementing data-based comprehensive school counseling programs; working knowledge of ASCA National Model.
- School Psychology Qualifications: earned doctorate or Master’s degree in School Psychology or Educational Counseling; PPS Credential with specialization in School Psychology; a minimum of three years of experience in school psychology; commitment to and experience working with diverse populations and issues of social justice; experience with data-based decision making and behavior intervention; working knowledge of NASP Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services.
- Undergraduate Child Development Program Qualifications: Master’s degree in Child Development, Human Development or related field; experience working with young children and diverse populations; doctoral degree in related field preferred; evidence of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and mentoring preferred.
