About the Role An adjunct nursing instructor at Warner Pacific University will teach upper-division nursing courses and/or supervise clinical experiences in the Portland metro area. The role is flexible and may include classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical site instruction aligned with the candidate’s background. The program emphasizes care management, health promotion, population health, professional leadership, and evidence-based practice. What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses, including lecture and laboratory sections, in nursing; model current best practices in teaching and demonstrate sound andragogical and pedagogical practices.
- Advise and mentor students during the course; clearly communicate when and how to secure instruction and feedback outside of regular course meeting hours; provide prompt and thorough feedback to students to support improvement.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students; understand and promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University; exhibit excellent communication skills in all interactions; participate in professional development opportunities; adhere to University policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree in nursing required for didactic courses.
- BSN with CNE or CL certification for clinical instruction.
- Current unencumbered RN license in Oregon.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience. Nice to Have
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Collegiate-level teaching experience or precepting experience strongly preferred.
