About the Role Bushnell University is building an Adjunct Instructor pool for the School of Business, Leadership & Technology. This is a part-time, per-class opportunity that supports undergraduate and graduate teaching in multiple modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).

What You'll Do

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, and Human Resource Management in F2F, hybrid, or fully online modalities. Indicate modality experience on your CV if teaching more than one.
  • Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments; deliver engaging instruction while upholding FERPA confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity; align with Bushnell's Christian context and provide a Statement of Faith as part of application materials.
  • For graduate teaching, understand that a doctorate is required, with possible substitution of a master's degree with requisite professional experience; maintain appropriate professional credentials.
  • Adhere to non-smoking, drug-free environment policies and act as a mandatory reporter under Oregon law.

What We're Looking For

  • Undergraduate teaching eligibility: master's in the area of instruction is required, unless the applicant has 10+ years of field experience, in which case a bachelor's degree plus experience may be substituted.
  • Graduate teaching eligibility: doctorate is required; a master's degree may be substituted with requisite professional experience.
  • Ability and willingness to teach across F2F, hybrid, and online modalities; if teaching more than one modality, indicate experience on the CV.
  • A demonstrated commitment to multiculturalism and diversity, plus active engagement in a Christian congregation; must be able to express a maturing Christian faith through personal, family, community, church, and academic life (Statement of Faith required).
  • Familiarity with FERPA guidelines and student confidentiality; adherence to Bushnell Theological Context for Community.

Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching in multiple modalities and working within a Christian higher education environment (implicit in requirements).
