About the Role
Bushnell University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach Criminal Justice on a per-class basis. The pool supports both graduate and undergraduate instruction, with a preference for candidates holding a Doctorate but consideration given to Master's degrees with significant teaching experience. A strong commitment to multiculturalism, diversity, and a vibrant Christian faith is required, demonstrated by a personal Statement of Faith included in the application. What You'll Do

Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses (undergraduate and/or graduate) as needed in the adjunct pool.

Develop and deliver instruction, including syllabi, assessments, and learning activities aligned with program goals.

Assess student work, provide timely feedback, and maintain FERPA-compliant records.

Foster an inclusive, multicultural classroom environment; incorporate faith perspectives consistent with Bushnell's Mission.

Maintain professional communications with department and students; adhere to Bushnell Theological Context for Community statement.

Participate in department and college activities as available, including potential curriculum development. What We're Looking For

Doctorate preferred; Master's degree with significant teaching experience considered.

Teaching experience in Criminal Justice at undergraduate/graduate level.

Demonstrated ability to teach across multiple levels; flexible with per-class employment; willingness to join a teaching pool.

Commitment to multiculturalism and diversity; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of FERPA and student confidentiality; readiness to comply with Oregon mandatory reporting requirements under state law.
